About the Company:
Two Hands Four Paws is an award-winning family-owned company that has been working with special needs animals and their families since 1998. Starting in a small guest house and seeing more and more special needs dogs that needed our help, we eventually moved into a 5,000 square foot facility in West Los Angeles where services include massage, acupuncture, hydrotherapy, ultrasound therapy, cold laser therapy, boarding, brace castings, cart fittings, harness fittings, and more. With a 501(c)(3) foundation Two Hands Four Paws also helps rescue and rehabilitate animals in need. We love being able to contribute to helping the rescue community.

Do you have a heart for animals with special needs and a desire to make a real difference every single day? At Two Hands Four Paws, our team doesn’t just care for pets—we care for family.
As an Animal Rehabilitation Assistant, you’ll become part of a team that provides comfort, healing, and hope to some of the most deserving animals in Los Angeles.
You’ll learn the ins and outs of animal rehab, work with experienced professionals, and be hands-on with incredible dogs (and some cats!). Whether it’s helping a paralyzed pup into the pool or snuggling a boarding patient during their stay, you’ll be a key part of their healing journey.
Who You Are:
- You LOVE animals and are passionate about helping those with special needs.
- Veterinary experience in a clinic or hospital is strongly preferred.
- Confident with animal handling, basic restraint, and tasks like feeding, medicating, nail trims, and bathing.
- Comfortable with bladder expression and working with incontinent patients.
- A calm multitasker with strong communication and exceptional client care skills.
- A team player who keeps it positive, even under pressure.
- Experience in dog daycare, boarding, rescue, or shelter work? That’s a huge plus!
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds and speak, read, and write English fluently.
- Organized, observant, reliable, and ready to jump in where needed.
What You’ll Do:
- Provide daily care, love, and support for client, boarding, daycare, and foundation animals.
- Administer medications, perform bladder expressions, and handle wound or ear care.
- Give medicated baths and keep all animals looking and feeling their best.
- Keep detailed and accurate records for every patient you care for.
- Assist our DVMs and RVTs during treatments like physical therapy and acupuncture.
- Keep the clinic spotless—cleaning, laundry, organizing, and maintaining the clinic.
- Help transport disabled patients in and out of vehicles when needed.
- Make sure our exam and treatment rooms are fully stocked and always ready.
Bonus Tip:
Include a thoughtful, well-written cover letter. We read them—and we remember the ones that shine.
At Two Hands Four Paws, this isn’t just a job. It’s a calling. If you're ready to be part of something meaningful and work with a team that truly cares, we’d love to meet you.
