Scooter is a precious little chihuahua and an all around lovebug. Her favorite activities include cuddling, exploring and burrowing into thick blankets. Unfortunately, Scooter experienced trauma that left her paralyzed in her back legs. She is able to stand and walk pretty well on carpet but has a harder time on slick surfaces. She may stumble a bit but she’ll get there! Due to the injuries, Scooter is able to go potty but she needs help to ensure she is completely empty. This is done by gently expressing her bladder (very easy to learn how to do), which will help Scooter avoid urinary tract infections. Her personality is mushy-sweet. She bonds deeply and craves human touch and companionship. She’s also been great with all the dogs she has met. Playful with dogs her own size, and although a little nervous around large dogs (can you blame her?) Scooter has been very brave making big dog friends and has no problem bossing around Suede or the other two in- house Dobermans who are terrified of her.
