Introducing Frida, the resilient and lovable Maltipoo who has overcome significant challenges at just 3 years old. Frida was born with a severe heart defect which should have killed her but amazingly didn’t. She came from the same hoarding situation with 200 other dogs in someone’s home. After all the dogs were confiscated Frida gave birth, but tragically, all of her puppies froze in the shelter, highlighting the harsh conditions she endured. When the rescuers asked if we would take her they mentioned that she had a heart problem and asked if we still wanted her. Leslie said, “Of course!!! I’ll take her to a cardiologist!” We thought she was super depressed having just lost all of her puppies but after the cardiologist put her on heart medicine she was a completely different dog. She just had a successful heart surgery and will need to be quiet for a few weeks but will then live a perfectly healthy and normal long life.
Thank god we found her and were able to fix her heart and she is now adored by her new family and walks them to school 😊
